The Jackets looked pretty solid last night and carried the play to us more often than not. The score, if not for Scrivens and maybe a bit of a lack of finishing, could have easily been reversed when you consider MacArthur's bad goals. The team seemed to play much different and better in front of York than Mason. Us Leaf fans see that constantly with Gustavsson in net, our team plays much worse with him in there than they do with Reimer.
Missing Huselius, Carter, and just getting Wiz back are tough to swallow, don't get too down, it's a long season and you guys definitely have a lot of talent on this team. Hang in there.
Does the team really play better in front of York or is it just the pressure dialed down laying back in your own zone with a large lead ? Hard to say for certain. Safe to say no one has confidence in Mason, including Mason. When is the last time we faced a teams #1 goalie ? I've begun to enjoy watching all the backups and backups backup goalies. Wondering if they are really that good or if we are just making them look that good. It's a good distraction from clear line of sight goals sailing in from the face off dot.
