Chances are Sauer and McDonagh are going to have much better careers than Potter who has played all of 20 games and is almost 28. Those are the two guys he was probably directly competing against

I might take him over Eminger, but then again, Eminger has a lot more experience. He's more suitable for the 6/7 role than Potter imo. And I certainly won't take him over MDZ

Good for him though... he did his time in the minors and I'm glad he's getting a legit chance to show he belongs. I just wouldn't expect him to keep putting up numbers. His high in the AHL was 37 points. I think he will end up with around 30-35 playing with the young guys on that team, which would be an awesome season for him considering he's basically a rookie

I don't agree that our defensive pool is not deep. If you don't include Sauer, McDonagh, and MDZ then maybe it's not. But if you do it's one of the deepest in the league
