Interesting note on RJ in today's News. He said he's not ready to embrace any invitation from the Hockey Hall of Fame, an invitation that's probably been printed for many years now. Not sure how to read the tea leaves, but it's fair to assume he's very near the end of a wonderful career now.
I think you may have misread that.....he seems open to an HHoF invitation:

Now with his blessing, the Greater Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame will likely call Jeanneret's name. The Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto has to be in line, too.

"I'm not dwelling on that but I would think I will be considered along the line some day," he said. "And if that comes to be, I am certainly willing to stand up and accept that award.

"The Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto would really be great. No doubt about it. But to be honest, the icing on the cake is to be honored here in Buffalo."
