Nash definitely doesn't strike me as a fearless leader either...I'm just trying to say that I doubt anybody else could fare much better in his situation.
I believe Iginla has done so in CGY. Iginla is also a fearless leader and has never quit out there, despite being on some downright terrible teams.
As far as the Carter line goes, yes they did look pretty good together, but it was only for 5 games and even still, Nash "only" put up 5 points in those 5 games... exactly a PPG.
It remains to be seen if they can keep that up for an entire season. Personally, I doubt Nash's ability to be a PPG player again, even with Carter. And being that he is valued as highly or more highly than some players who are PPG types, I'd consider him overrated. But I guess we'll see as the season plays out.
