You have to wonder if the "set back" 3 weeks ago was actually a set back, or more a precautionary measure. This is the day after McDonagh scored in back to back games, and Girardi was playing Norris caliber hockey. We had also just heard that Sauer would be ready for the home opener, and Del Zotto was playing like a monster. The Rangers have also had a very easy schedule, including playing Winnipeg TWICE, since Staal had the "set back".

Who knows, but when I read that quote last night it only invoked positive thoughts.
