In terms of private business the only people who get to vote are shareholders (in the case of a publically traded company) and/or a board of directors. Season ticket holders = customers, not shareholders.

One issue (of many probably but its the first that comes to mind) is how many season tickets are in fact held by corporate entities and how that could affect team directions , creating a situation where the GM and HC are then working for corporate interests outside the Habs org. in hopes of securing blocks of votes.

I just fail to see how there could be any harm

If there a list of 5-7 running in an open process for coach, the season ticket holders cast their vote for who they want.I just don't see the problem.

For instance if there was a day this became reality,

Coach

Crawford
Babcock
Boucher
Martin
Roy

GM

Gauthier
Yzerman
Holmgren
Burke

It would be interesting.to see who the paying fans voted in .

It also could be interesting as it could really open the team up and put us on a level playing field with everyone else in the NHL.
