Balance as said, but also knowing how to fall is helpful when you need it.

From judo and karate, make sure you tuck your chin down as hard as possible when falling back.

Helps if you do situps and keep head elevated without hand support to strengthen neck muscles.

And try to roll with the fall. Hard to explain, maybe YouTube how to judo break fall.
