What do you think value wise?
Phx gives OEL + Turris + 2nd and gets Bob + Ballard + Hodgson + Van 1st - Hodgson about = Turris so for them its then Bob + Ballard + 1st for OEL + 2nd. Values is close but is just really screwed up from their POV. They don't need Bob, Ballard probably has negative value for them seeing how he's really not worth his contract and they are a low budget team. The difference between their 2nd and the Vanc 1st could be 10 spots or less so that's not really any incentive for them to trade a much needed and highly thought of young dman in OEL for a goalie they don't need.
Vanc gives a 1st + Hodgson + Ballard and get Turris + Carle - Again, Turris about = Hodgson so for them it becomes Ballard + 1st for Carle. While Carle IS an upgrade over Ballard for them the difference is NOT a 1st rnd pick, maybe a 2nd but clearly not a 1st.
Flyers give Carle + Bob and get OEL + Phx 2nd. Yeah, we take that deal and run. I don't care if we put Casper the unfriendly ghost in net as our backup we still win this trade by a landslide. Here's how I think it would have to go to make it more balanced although it still doesn't address the needs of Phx:
To Phi - OEL + Vanc 2nd
To Phx - Bobrovski + Hodgson + Phi 1st + Vanc 3rd
To Vanc - Turris + Carle
Now OEL + Vanc 2nd cost us Bob + Carle + 1st, much closer now.
Phx gets Bob + 1st + 3rd for OEL, Hodgson for Turris is still a wash, again much closer.
Vanc gets Carle for Ballard + 2nd + 3rd with Turris and Hodgson still being a wash, again much closer.
