Staal must have been feeling better before seeing Cantu in mid October for the Rangers to have thought Staal would've been cleared to begin the process of returning to Staal but he was shut down.
So that would explain Micheletti's erroneous prediction that there was going to be an update (seemingly positive) on Staal.... Rangers were expecting Marc to be cleared for skating and instead the doctor told him to rest for another month?
