Put him on a line with Forsberg and Gagne and he would absolutely have a shot at catching up with AO and SC. Its only a quarter way through the season. Players get injured, players slump. Conditioning isnt an issue with Ovechkin, but I suspect that Crosby's body will be tired and beaten up by the end of the season. If you go by points per minutes on the ice, Carter is actually ahead of Ovechkin and not thatfar behind Crosby. Given better linemates and more time he is very much com[parable tot he top two forwards for the Calder.
