I guess it would depend on what you call "as a rookie" and whether you consider his games played for the Monarchs as playing for AM. Is he still a rookie? Prior to 2003 he played 4 years in the O, and he's got 24 games under his belt for this season.
Well, I'd have to say that 47 games for the Kings and 22 games for the Monarchs is "mostly for AM". Don't get me wrong, I'm not minimizing what he got in Manchester...I think he learned a ton there last season. But the way AM handled him in his time in LA in 03-04 means something means AM handled him well... BTW, I wouldn't say that playing in Manchester was playing for AM.

Also, I think the cutoff for skaters is 25 games to be considered a rookie...and so I wouldn't consider him a rookie now...or in 04-05.
