Ville Leino is a pretty bad comparsion IMO. Granlunds Hockey IQ is way better than Leinos. Granlund has a lot more grit than Leino. Granlund never floats like Leino. Granlund is already stronger physically than Leino and will only get better. Mikael is a very agile skater unlike Leino.

Leino is a skilled skinny forward who at times plays outside of the game. He Exploited the big ice very well with those silky soft hands but it was obvious he wouldn't be able to do that in small rink. Granlund plays in the tough areas all the time so I don't think there will be much problems with him adjusting to NA style.
