Whether it’s a quick counter or a long counter, we’ve got to be able to identify that, as a group of five, and come up together. Right now, we’re really spread out in the neutral zone, which forces us to dump it in. And if we’re spread out in the neutral zone, that means we’re going to be spread out on the forecheck, and it’s hard to turn pucks over with a one-man forecheck, which we’re seeing a lot of right now."

I’m like, `I know, that’s the way you’ve called it all year.’ Whatever, it is what it is. It’s tough that we didn’t get the break on the call."

After that, the second period I thought was not very good from our side. We took a lot of penalties and gave them a chance to go on the power play. From that point on, we found ourselves down 2-0. We got a goal late in the second and after that, in the third, we kind of shut down. They played really well defensively and for us, we were OK the last 20 [minutes] but it was not enough to win or tie the game."

That’s what we rely on, both Jack and Doughty, they need to start shooting the puck. Right at the end of the game, you see we win the faceoff and it comes to Drew in the middle of the blue line. He has an opportunity to shoot the puck, and he holds onto it and drags it down to the left side, and now the time runs out and the game is over. You’ve got to pound the puck away. You’ve got to get a lot more to the net, and that’s the reason, I think, part of the time whenever we end up with six shots in a period. The low-to-high is what’s open. Most of the time, in the game today, everybody is protecting with that home-plate attitude, and your back-end guys are the guys that have to start bringing the puck more consistently."

I’d like to see that creativity, that offensive look that I had a good sense for when he was here last year. I felt good about his play with the puck and what he was doing to make plays, just holding onto it and making good decisions in the offensive zone. It’s not quite there yet, with his overall play, but his work is good. I just want to see him hold onto the puck and make some more plays in the offensive zone."

NOTE : Regarding LARGE SIZE IMAGES / YELLOW RE-SIZE IMAGE BARS ABOVE PICS, let me offer up one nice little suggestion ...
This will get rid of those pesky yellow resize bars over the top of some larger pictures ... as they annoy the hell out of me and maybe they do you also ?
- Go into/click on your "USER CP" {control Panel} up top left in the red bars
- on the left under 'Settings & Options' click on "Edit Options"
- scroll down to 'Thread Display Options', and then 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- click on the 'Drop Down List Box' over on the Right of 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- select it to "KEEP ORIGINAL SIZE"
- SAVE your selections !
There ... now don't that look MUCH BETTER
