slats I don't think that line-up is any stronger than our line-up today.

BTW, Hamhuis wouldn't move to the second pairing. While we're stronger at center our penalty killing and blueline are both weaker. Our system (much like Calgary's) uses the center more defensively anyway (even Zholtok thought our system was more restrict than the wilds at the center position) so we don't even know how Thornton would play in this type of system. We also would by giving up Hall would again get smaller on the wings.

No lets look at salaries. Thornton makes 6.6 M, which would move us close to 30M now. So what would we do in 2 years when Hartnell and Vokoun will both be demanding more money?
