I am not the only one who has complained about you this season either and I am sure the same could be said for me. I don't leave because people don't want me to leave, but you make it really hard sometimes.
Speaking of logic, how logical was it to have the horrid offseason that we have following the best playoff run in franchise history. Please explain that one to me. Please explain how this "window of opportunity" ******** that we have been getting preached has amounted to anything besides resigning pekka which should be done anyway. Talk is cheap. How logical was it to not even attempt to resign O'Brien and replace him with Hillen? This team misses Shane, yet when I was upset with that move I got called out for being too fond of an easily replaceable piece. If he was so easy to replace or upgrade, why hasn't he? Or why has the whole RFA contract debacle been swept under the rug? Because it is Poile's sun who made the gaff? What if we lost players because of that? Do you think Poile's son would've been fired? I don't.
Granted, I've been wrong about somethings too, such as wilson's emergence but I have been right about a lot of things as well. You can throw out all your fancy statistics and compare this season to last season, but more people than myself have seen a drastic fall in the quality of play from this team this year. Are they playing to their full potential? Probably not. Do I believe this team is built to succeed? No I do not. Point is, as a person who has pumped money into the organization, purchased their product, and tried to be an ambassador for the team and inside and outside of the Nashville community, I feel like the fans are being lied to and that rubs me the wrong way. If we are serious about competing and getting to the next level then stop talking about it and just do it. Based on their play this year, throw out all statistics and watch the game. Do you really think they are anywhere as good as they were last year. My answer is no.
Now, I am personally sick of having this fight with you. So after today I have nothing left to say to you. Just because I hold a different opinion about the direction about the direction of this team doesn't mean I am somehow below your intelligence in these conversations. I am certainly not the first nor the last person who is going to have this type of sentiment towards you.
On that note, I am out.

For a team that can't compete they are five points from 4th position in the conference and when they do lose it tends to be after very competitive games.
Offensively this team is better than last season ... more raw talent with the addition of Smith and the growth of Wilson's play , better balance for the top 6/9, more depth. Where the team has taken a step back is defensively. Blum regressed after a great debut late last season. We don't have a partner for Klein. Cube can't stay healthy and isn't playing that great when he is on the ice. About the only bright spot on the blueline so far is Josi in his limited time with the team.
