Imo, there are two major problems with Audette:

1. His injury has left his shooting at less than 100%, and a less than 100% Audette is a questionable top 6 forward. I don't buy all the talk that he is a horrible teamamate and lazy. I think he is trying his best to help the team, I just beleive his best isn't good enough without his shooting skills being 100%. Audette isn't helping himself out by trying to score everytime he has the puck, when a pass might be a better option.

2. Playing Audette with Perreault doesn't work. Perreault is a decent shooter but not a playmaker, and Audette has never been a playmaker. Both players need to play with players who will set them up and who will bring the puck over the blueline to create scoring chances. Unforunately without Koivu we might have only one of those type players on our team (Ribiero) and playing either Perreault or Audette with Ribiero would be disasterous. We don't have a spot for Audette on this edition of the habs especially without Koivu in the lineup.
