How many of those goals were because of his own miscues vs. that of his partner or the forwards on the ice with him at the time? You need to really look at the tape to see that. I've seen at least a couple of goals in the past 3 or 4 games where the D were hung out to dry by wandering forwards. Take Kapanen's goal from the mid-slot on Saturday. Jackman was on for that, he even swung his stick at Kapanen from in front of the net. The question IS - who let Kapanen make his way from the half-boards to the slot with the puck unimpeded. Not Jackman.

Quinn seems to ice 5-man units - matching defensemen with forwards - how do you suppose this has effected Jackman's +/-?
