Put what together? Are you expecting him to be an offensive juggernaut or something?

He's done putting things together. This is Coburn.

However, with even more age Coburn will become more and more consistent, particularly defensively.

I don't know why it's such a hard concept.

No, calling Coburn what he is would be calling Coburn a solid defensive defenseman who once had potential to be elite but did not translate an offensive game to the NHL.

People wouldn't be complaining about Coburn if he was putting up 30 points a season.

Until you're in you're early 30's you're always growing as a defensive player; possibly even later.

As long as your body continues to keep up physically, experience directly translates to better consistency.
