Good luck Drop The Gloves. You won't regret it. To anyone else who is thinking about playing, it is never too late. I had a teammate one season who was in his early 50's and had only been playing two years. We were in a B-league and he really should have been in a C but there wasn't one at the time. But he was out there competing and having a blast.

Also, generally speaking I think other hockey players are much more supportive of newbies than any other sport I have ever participated in. I know that when I play drop-in I'll try to get the novice players more involved or when they screw up I'll try to encourage them not to worry about it. I know I was treated the same way when I was just starting.
