Agree. It certainly looks like he is ready for the next step as backup. I'm not ready to get rid of Giggy just yet though as he is a very good influence on Varly and can help him grow to his potential. But I think if one gets hurt (hopefully not), I would feel very comfortable with Desjardins getting the call.
Due to Giggy having another year on his contract, I'm hoping for a Desjardins/Paterson duo for next year with LEM. That is very good depth in net.
