My fave thing about Colten is he looked like he belonged and acted like it. He didn't freak out, rarely got caught out of position and hit anything that moved.

But I don't mind him going down to the A. Gives him a litte more incentive to improve his game, let's him know that he's not a regular NHLer yet. I have no doubt he'll be a 5-7 defenseman for a long time in this league. Could he get to Jason Smith in his prime level? Maybe.

I really can't understand why the Oilers won't let Paajarvi or even Lander go down to the A to rip it up for awhile and find their games. Are they afraid that Magnus won't flourish down there and start getting tagged a bust? Or as a non-North American player?

How does going out against the other team's 3rd and 4th line slugs help him become a top 6 player? Hemsky's or Ryan Smyth's replacement? And don't they need guys in OKC right now?
