Time Warner Cable and the MSG Network, the Sabres’ cable TV broadcast producer, are currently in contract talks. Time Warner is balking at paying higher rates to carry MSG. The MSG Network, while based in New York City and owned by Madison Square Garden interests, has been carrying the Buffalo Sabres games for six seasons.
The current Time Warner Cable/MSG Network expires on Jan. 1.
