It's not as if we need Eager to score on the first line. Let him be a physical presence who can clear lanes for Forsberg and Knuble. I think it might be a good experiment to see what he can do there. He's pretty decent defensively, is a superb skater, and can hit really hard. You clear those lanes for Forsberg and Knuble and there's no reason to believe they can't work a little magic. Who knows, if Eager pops a goal or two on the Forsberg line, maybe that will bring some confidence back to his offensive game.

Maybe that will convince Stevens to use him on the top line with the Phantoms. He played for awhile with the top line last year and he seemed to do ok there. Maybe he does have some skill that hasn't been tapped yet. Give us 15 to 20 garbage goals a year and Eager has provided his worth and some.
