Caught the PFV. Overall the Oilers played a solid game. On the plus side, Tommy Salo came up with a strong road game and victory. This was crucial given the timing as the first in a long road sked. Very strong play again with the Torres, York, Dvorak line. They have been dynamite together. Dvorak is such a strong skater and two way talent. Torres - goal and fight. Cory Cross was strong again. Kudos to Peter Sarno, it is always great to see a player get his first NHL goal. Sarno also shared his excitement post-game about realizing this lifelong goal. Well done! Finally, Pisani played probably his best game of the year. Skated well, played with grit, and scored. Good effort.

On the minus side, Shawn Horcoff looks brutual and as a past poster described an 'anchor.' He just looks lost out there. Weak on the puck and turns it over way to much. Brewer continues to struggle, over handles the puck, bad decision making. He's trying to do too much.

This is a great confidence builder for the club. Tough road schedule but it gets off on a good footing.
