A healthy Baron and Shump will force Douglas and Fields to the bench to play their natural positions. I don't know if people realize what a huge difference this will make. Douglas is incapable of running the offense, and Fields is just too slow at the 2 and can't play to his strengths with Melo also on the court.
Cannot agree with you more. I love the way Fields plays, but I'm now realizing he would be most effective off the bench. Spike Lee won't be too happy, but you can't please everybody. Shumpert has serious skills. I expect him to receive a lot of playing once he's back, but this does give Fields a chance to prove me wrong. At the point, I think Baron will fit in nicely and run a much better offense than Douglas. I loved watching him in New Orleans and Golden State.
