I placed similar remarks in the Alumni sticky but since this thread gets more traffic, I'll place it here, too.

Members of the media arrived at Citizens Bank Park on Friday prepared to skate in the media's own winter classic at noon. However, because of warm temperatures and direct sunlight on the ice, the media's game was pushed to 2 p.m.

Could the same thing happen Saturday at the Winter Classic Alumni game?

It could happen.

The forecast for Saturday around 1 p.m., when the alumni game is supposed to start, is calling for temperatures in the low 50s with some sun.

NHL sources say that if conditions on Saturday are like the ones on Friday, the alumni game could be pushed back later in the day.
Philadelphia Inquirer:

The media skate and game on Friday at Citizens Bank Park were moved back a few hours because the sun and warm temperatures were causing havoc with the ice.

It is supposed to be colder on Monday, so the Winter Classic is expected to start on time. For now.
