Loria & cie + MLB has done everything they could to make baseball fans sick of baseball in Montreal. No radio or TV contracts, playing in Puerto Rico, fire sales after 1994, etc.. + no marketing and out of touch with young players in the community.

The Alouettes for very long time had no real contacts with the Francophone clientele. No effort to touch base with them. the new Alouettes have understood that.

The Montreal fans have filled the big O for some soccer games in the past with the Manic and also with the Impact, more recently.

Gillett had the genious to keep Pierre Boivin and lalonde to market his team to death.
You can't pain the whole Expos existence with when Loria and co were there. The 15 years before that ownership tried everything. In 1994 they marketed the team heavily, it was in 1st place in all of baseball and people still barely came out
