Arnold Kadlec, D

All Stars at the 1981 Canada Cup: Vladislav Tretiak (URSS) ; Arnold Kadlec (TCH) - Aleksei Kasatonov (URSS) ; Sergue´ Shepelev (URSS) - Gilbert Perreault (CAN) - Mike Bossy (CAN).

Kadlec was drafted by the North Stars in the 10th round in 1982 but never came over to play in the NHL.

Olympics: 1980 (fifth place)
Canada Cup: 1981 (Third place)
Czechoslovakia Championship: Played two
World Championships: 1981 (bronze medal), 1982 (silver medal)
World Junior Championships: 1978 (fourth), 1979 (silver)
Canada Cup All-Star First Team: 1981
Czechoslovakia Canada Cup MVP: 1981

NON-NHL CAREER (Edit: Post-draft, since I'm using hockeydraftcentral as a source)
Post-Draft Teams: Litvinov (Czechoslovakia); Rauma (Finland); Val di Fassa (Italy); Chomutov (Czech Republic)
Olympics: 1984 (silver medal)
Canada Cup: 1984 (fifth place)
World Championships: 1983 (silver), 1985 (gold), 1986 (fifth)

Kadlac appears to have had a solid but unspectacular domestic career, finishing 9th in voting for the Czech Golden Hockey stick in 1981 and 8th in voting for the Czech Golden Hockey Stick in 1984.

If Kim Jonsson gets drafted largely on the strength of one outstanding tournament, Kadlec really should be drafted too. Not only was he an All-Star at the 1981 Canada Cup, he was selected the MVP of the team that finished third behind the USSR and Canada.
