Bertuzzi is a HUGE part of the Canucks playoff aspirations and they will need him to play huge if they want to go anywhere. If Bertuzzi has a poor showing in the post-season, then I can see the Canucks actively shopping Bertuzzi, but not now, not at this point in the season. The off-season makes more sense to make a trade as well, because Bertuzzi would most likely be deal to a team that is a contending team and would likely not want to part with contributing players, so picks/prospects and younger players would be their trading chips. In the off-season the Canucks could move Bertuzzi for picks/prospects but still acquire players through UFA or off-season trades. At this time, they can't.

With that said, Bertuzzi has played great over the last couple weeks and finally looks like he is starting to gain some consistency. Let's not forget, prior to this season he hadn't played any hockey for over 18 months. There was bound to be a lot of rust.
