About a third to half the league hasn't checked in in at least a little while. One member hasn't logged in in over a month. I can understand if you're tanking or something or if you have a busy life, but I'm a worrisome person and all that inactivity makes me nervous. Not calling a anyone out or asking for anyone to check or log-in. I'm just letting you all be aware of the status of the league.

I know I haven't been on the site as much as I should, but I've been preoccupied with the death of a loved one and my team sucks anyways so I'm tanking.

I am going to see if I can force all the correct prospects on to the correct teams tonight so that nobody is picking up other people's prospects. So please go over the list of prospects in the OP and make sure yours is correct. I'm not familiar enough with the level of administrative authority I have as commissioner of the league, but I'm going to at least check it out.

At the moment I'm going to let the inactive people be inactive consider these things:

A) Only the top few teams make the playoffs anyhow
B) Some people might have legitimate excuses
C) It's extremely hard to find replacements
D) I'm considering contracting the league to 12 teams in the off-season anyhow

If you all want to help me out by giving me some input on a few subjects I would appreciate it. Like I said before, I'm extremely adverse to making anymore changes to the league and most, if not all, changes will be made in the off-season, but that doesn't mean we can't discuss things or plan things out. So here's a few ideas I've had rolling around in my head for the off-season:

1) Contracting the league to 12, like I said. It's just extremely hard to keep 16 people active and it's even harder to find enough replacements for the inactive ones. For those wondering what we would do with the players left over from the contracted teams, we'd probably have a dispersal draft of sorts.

2) Radical changes in the scoring system. I screwed up the value of PIMs really badly and unintentionally and I'm a little iffy on some of the other scoring values as well. At least some future changes to the scoring system are inevitable. Like PIMs for example.

3) Switching to Yahoo or ESPN. I'd prefer Fantrax because we'll have a free premium league every season and Fantrax is up year-round while the other two aren't. However, I know some people have experienced problems with Fantrax and I know the layout and user interface is pretty rudimentary. For those wondering how we would deal with keepers if we switched sites, I'd probably allow each team to keep a certain number of keepers then redo the draft from there.

I have to clear up an issue about the minor league spots with Fantrax customer support before I know what to do about that. At the moment it's not totally clear to me if players in the minor leagues count as keepers or not. However, sometime tonight I'll see if I can force all the correct prospects on to the correct teams.
