What assumption? You haven't notice that the kid had lost all confidence? Has he not been bounced all around the lineup and back and forth between the bottom 6, the pressbox, the farm team and now back with the big club? What are the assumptions on my part?
The team could have called up Petrell and O'Marra and been just fine, there was really no need to call up Paajarvi.

The objective from here on out this season should be to properly develop our young players because they are the future, this is not properly developing a young player especially one that is fragile at this point in his career.

As Bryan mentioned earlier, if Hemsky was to be moved then that would open up a spot for Paajarvi to earn a top 6 spot but otherwise, he is just keeping a spot warm until Eberle gets back. Paajarvi should not be viewed as a placeholder or as a fill in, he should be viewed as a key player moving forward.
