There is such a thing as having a great work ethic on the ice. I mean, Pavel Bure worked his @ss off in the weight room and in practice (he was probably the best conditioned athlete in the NHL in his prime), but you would never say he is a hockey player with a great work ethic. Basically who is mr Hustle out there? Who fights for position along the boards, is the most tenacious getting back to their own zone, drives to the net with guys all over them, never gets caught with lazy hooking penalties because they arent moving their feet, fights to stay on their feet when being hooked, blocks shots on the penalty kill, never gives up and makes those diving plays for loose pucks, etc. Think Rod Brindamour or Chris Draper.
