I also agree that it's way too early to throw in the towel on Hlavac. His first season here he started off very slowly and Muckler (who hated him from day one) sent him off to the minors. He was recalled quite quickly (don't remember why--probably an injury) and his game picked up as he began to get enough minutes. Sather is giving him enough time on the ice and he's not been playing poorly the last several games as far as I'm concerned. That whole line is beginning to play with much more purpose and I think it's too early to give up and start over. It would take another 5-10 games before Rucinsky or anyone else gets comfortable and that breaking in period might very well slow down Nedved and Kovalev. Better to be a little patient for a change and see if Hlavac can step up his play over the next stretch of games.
