Purely from the perspective of maintaining a time line or schedule, this is true. However, from a more practical perspective - i.e. bringing up a player to get some exposure to the AHL level of play - then his trip to Manch was a real bust. As was pointed out elsewhere, he only played 2 out of something like 17 games. Outside of practice, virtually no one saw him play, including the coach and his staff. What was the point, then, to bringing him up?
