He didn't stack the pads against Hossa on his breakaway...

No one blamed solely the defense on that play, but they have to know that Salo doesn't handle the puck well, and that the only place he will put it is in the corner. He maybe telegraphed it a bit, but Brewer still should have been there to the puck before Hossa... a defenceman has to know what his goaltender does with the puck.
