The point is, just because you haven't played the game doesn't make your opinion and less valid if you follow the game closely enough.

I'm not sure about the baseball comparison. But I don't agree with that. Personally I take someone's opinion on the game who's played it over someone who has not. It just gives the person much more credibility based on personal experience and understanding the physics of the game. Just my personal preference though.
