There's a lot wrong.

Defense makes too many major mistakes. While Zidicky has been great offensively, he will make a couple major mistakes a game. While Hamhuis shows some good signs, he's not up to speed on the NHL game yet. York is terrible thus far. Allison isn't far behind. Kloucek is still trying to make the transition from the minor leagues.

Our forwards can't sustain a consistent rhythm in the offensive zone. Our puck movement is atrocious. Our powerplay (save Timo and Zid) is absolutely lost. Zero rhythm.

We have too many young players. Iím not saying they arenít good, but none of them are ready to be true impact players in the NHL at this point. Our supposed veteran young players are underachieving, namely Legwand and Arkhipov. They are our supposed top 2 centers, yet they are creating zero offense on their own.

Penalties are definitely killing us. While some of them have been questionable, we have to make it a point to play more disciplined.

Vokoun hasnít been great, but hasnít been horrible. Thatís the life of an NHL goaltender. They will have their ups and downs. Just last year, Khabibulin struggled mightily toward the end of the year, and was even benched in the playoffs. Now, heís tearing up the league. In other words, we canít expect Vokoun to be fantastic every game. No goaltender is. Sometimes, the offense has to win games. Sometimes the defense has to win games. And right now, both our offense and defense are playing below par.

In summary, I wouldnít give up complete hope yet. We have had an amazingly difficult schedule thus far. Hopefully we can get back on track, SOON. Or else, we will keep moving closer to relocation.
