I don't care. We tied ourselves to a one dimensional player with a bad contract in a desperate attempt to make 8th place. Why hurt yourself for the future so you can get the last playoff spot?

You don't do this if you have any kind of long term plan.

Who gives a crap? Seriously man. So we save on the cap space... we still wasted a valuable asset on a lateral move. Again, this was a desperate trade by a guy trying fruitlessly to save his job.

As for the 2nd, sure it's an asset. But it's not something we should be happy with when we're giving away Mike Cammaleri. That 2nd rounder has about a 25-30% chance of even becoming an NHL player. That's fine if you're trading away Hal Gill but not Cammy.
