Its not like he's a 65-70 point winger. He's a run of the will 2nd line guy who puts about about 40 points. Players of his ilk are literally a dime a dozen. He may think he would taking less by signing for what he currently gets, but in reality he is already overpaid for what he produces. He's been living off of the one half season of riding Kovalev's coattails and the RFA mandatory raises ever since.
