Yeah not bad but the salary tied up in the four, including Ryan, would be about all we can afford for players of that caliber. If we keep Weber and Suter then Visnovsky becomes less of a necessity and his salary would handcuff us down the road.
Maybe Ryan for the rights to Radulov, Ellis/Josi/Blum, the 2012 first rounder and maybe a 2013 2nd rounder or something. I'm not sure about the conditional first rounders, but without them, I doubt Anaheim makes that move. I don't think we're in the position to bring in more than one big salary without giving away anything in return as ThirdMan said.
I personally think Ryan is a great fit for us and his yearly salary is manageable. We all know Anaheim is extremely desperate defensively and we could make something happen there for sure. Blum has struggled lately but something tells me he wouldn't mind going home to his family and playing for the Ducks long-term, or if Anaheim passes on him I think Josi or Ellis are fair to give up for a player like Ryan. Radulov is obviously the key so I understand why the Ducks could potentially want conditional first rounders there but that's a huge gamble.
