He still needs to get stronger and bigger but if he does I think he will be a core player for a long time. Dunno how Phoenix messed him up so bad.
Its actually pretty common practice these days to deliberately use an offensively oriented line in soft minutes to produce more scoring. The key question is what kind of players those guys are being matched against each game.
