i think that if it were a real transgression, you don't sweat the game situation. you stand up for your teammate. at least that's how i'd like it to be if i were - say - sucker-punched or had my knees submarined. in this case it wasn't so cut-and-dried, so there was less conviction in the reprisal. just my two cents.
