Grigerenko has made almost a 100% recovery much further ahead of schedule than he should be. He's slated to play in Russia as early as January.

And it was his leg that was broken, not his pelvic bone.

Players that have broken their legs and have had good careers in the NHL...

Dino Ciccarelli. 600+ goals. Nobody thought he would play after he broke his leg and he went undrafted. The rest is history.
Robyn Regehr. Has turned into a solid defensive defenseman for the flames after breaking his leg in an accident.

There've been a lot more than that as well.

Whitney is going to be an alright defenseman in the league, but I wouldn't give Grigerenko for him straight up.
