2. Keep the pick. Deal Hall + 3 EO 2nds (2012, 2013, 2014) for Girardi, Sauer + 2 NYR 1sts (2013 + 2014). Will even throw in a prospect G (Talbot/Stacjer)
Use the high pick to replenish sniper, gain benefit on his ELC contract duration; get shut down All Star backliner to bedrock your D; plus another component to keep or trade; benefit from the upgrade in picks + the prospect.
But ya gotta bite the bullet and part w/Hall..
