The article repeats what I have been saying for the past two years in regards to Regehr. Foot speed is a huge issue, he is not the force that he once was, he doesn't play Ruff's up tempo system...ect.

With that said, I still think Regehr brings something to the team in terms of leadership and grit that was/is lacking. I don't mind the trade considering what we gave up. I watch Calgary quite a bit and can tell you Butler is being made to look a lot better than he really is. While silently sound, Butler adds yet another redundant piece in the redundency that is the Calgary Flames. He is a 4/5 D man with limited up side who can fill big minutes when needed. He doesn't do anything great or poorly...he is mediocrity on skates. I have no problem moving him and taking a chance on Regehr.

As for Myers....I think a new coach would do wonders for him as well as our entire blueline.
