I am a major supporter of Regehr and can only count on a couple of fingers the times this season that a misplay by Robin cost the Sabres the game.

He's been an major upgrade over last years D corp and that works for me.

However, I do agree with Jame that he's lost a step (something the more critical Flames posters warned us about) and indeed on a team with top defensive talent he would be 3 - 4.

Which isn't that bad considering Calgary's defensive talent level at the time of the trade.

Not making a comparison here but heck, even Ray Borque lost a step after a while but he had so many other skills in his bag that he could compensate. Regehr isn't any where as multi-dimensionals as #77. No way...
