3.3 CIS Berths
The two teams qualifying for the Queen’s Cup will earn the two OUA assigned berths to the CIS National Championship Tournament.
3.4 Bronze Medal Game (Third Place Game) –
played to determine third berth to CIS Championship.
In the event that an OUA school is hosting the CIS Championship and also wins their conference (reaches the Queen’s cup), the third place game will be hosted by the team with the best overall record; if the records are identical the OUA general tie-breaking procedures will be used to determine the host of that game.
Now it says '...OUA school is hosting...', but I think it's safe to assume the same thing would happen for 'wild card'.
Since they don't play the tournament in a pre-defined location anymore, it will be interesting if Lakehead and UQTR are the losers - that would be a long trip to play a single game - winner take all.
