I'm pretty sure it was an accident. But I love some of the comments I read from Canadian readers:
"That's one baddass coach. "Did you just hit me in the face? I didn't even notice. Try hitting me harder you noodle armed nancy-boy."
There was a brief moment when the coach was angry: "I think you just broke my pencil-lead, dumb-ass. Oh no, it still works."
