Brodin strikes me as the type that doesn't benefit much from playing in the AHL. He seems the type that would benefit more from small minutes in the NHL, but supported by veterans than from playing against "lesser" players in Houston. If he can get into the physical shape he needs for the NHL game, I like him in St. Paul. I don't think he'll ever play in Houston unless we somehow beef up our blue line a ton and others beat him out in 2013-2014.
