And Schaefer did not become the decent defensive player he is until he reached Ottawa and thrived in an existing system. Something the Rangers really don't have. I can see him getting extremely lost on the Rangers.
Way off base. He was replying to your comment on how schaefer is a disappointment because he was a scorer in juniors and not a scorer in the NHL. Guys like Peca and Barnaby and heck even Van Allen were all high scoring juniors. It doesn't mean they are disappointents because they aren't scoring at the relatively same pace as they did in juniors. Instead they evolved their games to do jobs they are more suited for and they do VERY good jobs and are not disappointments.
